Choje Akong Tulku Rinpoche is an accomplished meditation master of the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. He was born in 1940 and at the age of five started his special monastic tradition to be Abbot of his monastery Drolma Lhakang in East Tibet. At the age of nineteen, he completed his formal spiritual training as a lama of the Karm Kagyu and Nyingma lineages. In 1963 he moved to Great Britain where he co-founded the Kagyu Samye Ling Monastery and Tibetan Centre in Scotland.
His activity now reaches people worldwide and his life is an example of what can be achieved when someone reaches their full potential and so can in turn illuminate the lives of countless others.
